Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Let it be to me according to your word.

On Mount Carmel the prophet Elijah prayed, and later hermits lived there from whom the Carmelites grew. They chose the Virgin Mary as their mother. The scapular is a sign of her protection and of our consecration. Mary accompanies those who seek God in silence.
