St. Bonaventure

If you wish to know how these things come about, ask grace, not learning; desire, not understanding.

According to tradition he was healed as a child by St. Francis, who exclaimed: “O buona ventura!” He became a professor in Paris, Minister General of the Franciscans and a cardinal. When they brought him his cardinal's hat, he was washing dishes. Wisdom and humility complete each other.
