St. Daniel Comboni
Africa or death!
— St. Daniel's motto
An Italian priest who devoted his life to Africa. His plan was to “save Africa through Africans” – training local priests, teachers and doctors. He founded missionary congregations and fought slavery. He died in Khartoum, exhausted by service. Love makes bold plans.
