St. Catherine Labouré
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
— Inscription on the Miraculous Medal
A farm girl to whom the Virgin Mary appeared in Paris in 1830 and asked for the Miraculous Medal to be struck. Catherine then served hidden for 46 years as a sister in an old people's home, and no one knew it was she. Hiddenness is God's way.
