St. Luke

A physician and companion of St. Paul who wrote a Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles. He captured God's mercy most beautifully – the parables of the prodigal son and the good Samaritan. According to tradition he painted the first image of the Virgin Mary. Mercy is the face of God.
