St. Clare of Assisi

virgin, foundress of the Poor Clares · 1194 – 1253
Go safely, in peace and joy, for you have a good guide for your journey.
— Last words, according to the Legend

At eighteen she fled a wealthy home by night to live in poverty with Francis. She spent her whole life in a small convent, yet her light reached far beyond its walls. Peace does not depend on how much you have.
