Our Lady of the Snows

Dedication of the Basilica of St. Mary Major
Behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.
— Luke 1:48

According to legend, in August of 358 snow fell in Rome and marked the place where a church of the Virgin Mary was to stand. Today the oldest Marian basilica in the West stands there. Many churches are dedicated to Our Lady of the Snows. God has his signs.
