St. Godehard

I am the good shepherd; I know my own.

A Bavarian abbot who renewed many monasteries and, as Bishop of Hildesheim, built churches, schools and shelters for the poor. The Alpine Gotthard Pass is named after him. Whoever builds for others leaves a mark.
