St. Zita

servant, patroness of domestic workers · 1212 – 1272
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord.
— Col 3:23

From the age of twelve until her death she served one family in Lucca. At first she was humiliated, but her patience and kindness changed the whole household. According to legend, she never ran short of the bread she gave to the poor. Even ordinary work can be a prayer.
