St. Julie Billiart

St. Julie Billiart

religious, foundress · 1751 – 1816
How good the good God is!
— St. Julie's favourite exclamation

For twenty-two years she was paralysed and bedridden, yet she taught children the catechism. After a miraculous healing she founded a congregation to educate girls. Even in the hardest years she repeated how good God is. Gratitude changes the way we see everything.
