On this day the Catholic Church remembers
St. Lea

St. Lea

widow · † c. 384
Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
— Luke 14:11

A wealthy Roman widow known to us only from a letter of St. Jerome. She gave up luxury, put on coarse clothing and served the other women of her community. Jerome holds her up as an example: her humility raised her higher than the glory of the powerful.
