St. Peter Damian

Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

An orphan who as a boy herded pigs, he was able to study thanks to his brother and became a famous teacher. He withdrew to a hermitage, but popes called him to renew the Church. Despite high office he remained a humble monk. God can raise up from the lowest place.
