St. Conrad of Piacenza

St. Conrad of Piacenza

hermit, Franciscan · 1290 – 1351
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins.
— 1 John 1:9

While hunting, this nobleman set a forest on fire; the blaze spread and a poor innocent man was accused. Conrad confessed, paid for all the damage, lost his fortune and became a hermit. Admitting a mistake is the beginning of freedom.
