St. Juliana of Nicomedia

virgin and martyr · † 304
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
— Rom 8:35

A young woman from Asia Minor who refused to marry a pagan official – and her own father denounced her. In prison she stood firm until death. In the Middle Ages she was a beloved patroness of the sick. Love for Christ gives strength.
