On this day the Catholic Church remembers
St. Thomas Aquinas

St. Thomas Aquinas

priest and Doctor of the Church · 1225 – 1274
Nothing but you, Lord.
— His answer to Christ, according to William of Tocco

His family locked him in a tower so that he would not join the Dominicans. He did not give up and became one of the greatest thinkers in history. Yet at the end of his life he called everything he had written straw compared to what he had seen. Wisdom begins where you know what truly matters.
