St. Theodosius the Cenobiarch

St. Theodosius the Cenobiarch

abbot in the Judean desert · c. 423 – 529
Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!
— Ps 133:1

Near Bethlehem he founded a monastery where hundreds of monks lived, together with a hospital and a home for the elderly. He died at over a hundred years of age. A community that prays and serves is a small image of heaven.
